Chain of custody certification:

Chain of custody certification is the process by which an accredited and independent body verifies that timber or timber products which are coming from a certified forest or from FSC-certified suppliers has been identified and separated from uncertified and uncontrolled material, starting from purchase to sale. In order to obtain the FSC certificate of the custody chain, companies have to follow the basic standard according to their specific activity.
